“These Streets” era dedicato a lei e a tuo nonno. Questo disco per chi è?
“Per me stesso e per la mia band, i The Vipers, perché abbiamo lavorato sodo per arrivare dove siamo e non abbiamo accettato mai ne compromessi ne scorciatoie; siamo qui perché ci abbiamo creduto tutti e tutti insieme. E per Paisley, la mia città, perché è da lì che viene tutto quello che sono”.
Parlaci dei Vipers. La tua band sembra avere un peso specifico importante nella tua figura di artista.
“Sono tutto quello che ho, artisticamente parlando. Meritano che il loro nome venga ricordato almeno quanto il mio, perché senza di loro io stesso non sarei arrivato fin qui; mi hanno sostenuto e aiutato sempre, anche quando avevo paura di sbagliare tutto, e per me sono fratelli prima ancora che musicisti. Vorrei che per tutti fossimo Paolo Nutini e i The Vipers, la band che odia l’hype e lavora duro per suonare credibile”."It's like..
